Leadership Teams
"The Lord's servant must not quarrel; instead, he must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful." (2 Timothy 2:24)
As Jesus Christ is the head of the church, so He has called other leaders to serve His flock. Leaders at Mt. Hope take many responsibilities and roles, but they have all answered the call to serve!
- The Staff - The staff of the church — the pastors, administrators and music directors - are in charge of the daily activities, weekly events and spiritual leadership of the church.
- Missions - "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations..." (Matthew 28:19) The missions committee oversees the support of our missionaries abroad and mission projects here in Livonia.
- Trustees - It might not be the most glamorous job, but it is one of the most important of the church! Our trustees are in charge of the finances and maintenance of the church building and grounds. They meet monthly to vote on important church issues, and serve as the stewards of the church's money.
- Deacons - Think of our deacons as an organization of superheroes in tasteful, modest clothing. These men and women are dedicated to providing spiritual ministry to the congregation, as well as helping in the weekly worship services. Each member of the congregation has a deacon who is there for personal prayer and counsel.
- Christian Ed - This group is dedicated to the education and spiritual upbringing of our church's children. They meet to plan Sunday school, Pioneer Clubs and other fun events.
- Library Committee - Responsible for updating and maintaining our collection of Christian fiction, nonfiction, video and audio materials in the library, this committee loves to share their pleasure of reading!
- Youth Leaders - Our adult leaders of the youth group risk their sanity in providing a positive role model for our teens. They attend the weekly youth groups and other youth events, and are not shy about sharing their faith!
- Memorial Committee - This group determines appropriate uses for memorial monies that come in to commemorate loved ones who have passed away.
- Christian Concern - This group is dedicated to providing refreshments for our weekly Fellowship Hour, as well as making our church kitchen spotless!
