Fellowship Groups "They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship..." (Acts 2:42) Socializing with other church-goers isn't just for fun — it's what Christ wants us to do! At Mt. Hope, we cherish the bonds of friendship and community that grow in the church environment, and invite all to try out one of our many social groups!
Run by Christian Concern, this is the time immediately following our Sunday morning worship service where we invite everyone into our Fellowship Hall to partake in some yummy refreshments and talk with others. It's a great time to meet and greet those you may not know as well! Wednesday Suppers What is quickly becoming one of Mt. Hope's newest traditions, we invite everyone attending one of our Wednesday night activities (youth group, choir, Pioneer Clubs, Songs & Silence) to come a bit early and enjoy a wonderfully cooked supper!
FIC is a fellowship group designed for young (and young at heart) adults, with or without children. They meet once a month for various activities, such as mission projects, hot tub parties and Bible studies. During the summer, a terrific weekend camping trip is planned for entire families to get away, enjoy nature and worship together outside! Pairs and Spares A social group for the retired set, Pairs and Spares meets monthly at a local restaurant for lunch, discussion about mission projects, and enjoying each other's company. Pairs and Spares is the longest-running fellowship group at Mt. Hope Church. Page Turners A monthly book readers group, Page Turners meets to discuss a novel over food. They explore spiritual themes of the books, looking at it through the lens of God's grace and insight. Rebecca's Circle Rebecca's Circle is a women's service organization they meet on the second Tuesday of each month for dinner and fellowship. There they make plans to raise funds for various church needs or to reach out to the community. Deborah's Circle An elderly women's fellowship group that meets monthly to discuss their lives, talk about everything under the sun, and to pray for the church. |
